Main Purpose of the role at Phillips Africa

    To provide G2M analytical support to the marketing and sales teams across Africa as we implement a globally standardized.
    The analysts will follow a global play book and work closely with the G2M project manager and local business representatives in local markets to provide actionable plans on how to improve Philips' competitive position.


Key Accountabilities

    Set up and monitor consumer quantitative surveys, focus groups, trade surveys and market sizing research
    Analysis of consumer surveys to understand how product and service offerings should be adjusted to maximize Philips' performance in the local market
    Detailing out network coverage model in current distributor set-up and performing analysis to segment current distribution partners
    Analyze the distribution landscape in the local market and assist in new distributor selection
    Analyze retailer/consumer surveys to understand the key differentiators in the local market that drive purchasing behavior of Philips customers and consumes
    Defining of KPIs and incentives packages that should be used for the sales force
    Segmentation of local Philips accounts into different tiers - identifying the key accounts that require the most attention
    Stakeholder management
    Influencing key stakeholders to drive conclusions with Business basis data & analyses

Knowledge & Skills

    Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
    Ability to work independently in absence of daily supervision, exercising sound judgment and initiative with great attention to detail
    Ability to work in a matrix organization supporting teams regionally virtually
    Excellent time management skills
    Sound business sense and a creative mind
    Works independently to design, implement, troubleshoot and optimize the performance of assigned process
    Effective in facilitating and motivating collaboration, agreement, and commitment among diverse groups.
    Demonstrated ability to work in a multi tasked, fast-paced and changing environment
    Experience managing multiple stakeholders
    Self-confidence, stress management skills, intellectual curiosity and ability to adapt
    Advanced skills using all MS packages /applications

Education & Experience

    Completed Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Engineering / Statistics / Commerce / Actuarial Science(Essential)
    3 - 5 years' experience as a Consultant / Business Analyst / Marketing Intelligence / Researcher on go-to-marketing projects in a large multinational FMCG /Consumer Services / Telecommunications organization. (Essential)
    Fluency in Business English (Essential)
    Willingness to travel in / outside the region up 25%-40% (Essential)
    You may be required to be based out of your home country in one of our territory countries from time to time (Essential).
