The Post
The Polytechnic Librarian is a Principal Officer and Head of the Polytechnic Library responsible to the Rector for the administration of the Library and the co-ordination of library services in the Institution
Qualification and Experience
The candidates must possess a good Honours Degree from recognized Institution of higher learning plus a Master's Degree in Library Studies or a Postgraduate Diploma in Librarianship with cognate experience of at least Fifteen years (15) Five (5) of which must have been at a Management level in a Polytechnic or comparable tertiary Institution.
Candidates below the rank of a Deputy Librarian need not apply.
Tenure of Appointment
The appointment will be for Five (5) years in the first instance and may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance for another period of 5 years and no more
Condition of Service
The conditions of service for the post are the same as obtained In all Federal Polytechnics in the Country. In addition, the appointee shall enjoy any other benefits attached to the position of a Principal Officer of the Polytechnic.
