Makueni County Public Service Board is a body corporate established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012 whose mandate includes appointing persons to hold or act in the offices of County Public Service.

In order to strengthen the capacity of the Public Service, the Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions as per Article 176 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and Sections 45, 50 and 51 of the County Governments Act 2012.

Internal Auditors MCPSB/05: (5Posts) – Job Group K

Reporting to the Assistant Director- Internal Audit, the successful candidates will be responsible for the timely execution of internal audit assignments in accordance with the annual audit plan, as well as assisting with other audit matters and projects.

Internal Auditor Job Responsibilities In Kenya
Conduct audit assignments of the assigned department or sub-county in established/required timeline.
Establish risk-based, Value-for- money and system based audit programs
Determine scope of review in conjunction with the Deputy Director of Internal Audit.
Review the suitability of internal controls
Conduct audit testing of specified area and identify reportable issues and dimension of risk
Determine compliance with policies, rules, laws and procedures.
Communicate findings to the deputy director of internal audit and draft comprehensive and complete report of audit assignments.
Any other duties assigned by the Director/Deputy director of internal audit.
Requirements For Internal Auditor Jobs In Kenya


Be a Kenyan Citizen
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Management, Business Administration or other relevant degree from a recognized university
Be a holder of CPA (II).
At least 2 years of financial/auditing experience in a busy organization.
Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Systems knowledge and familiarity.
Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task.
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
