Job Title: Communication Manager

Job Objectives
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the post-holder is tasked with the responsibility of building and maintaining the Agency's reputation. As such, the post holder should possess a B.Sc in Mass Communication / Journalism / Social Sciences and an MBA (Management) with relevant professional certification such as NIPR, NIM to be considered for this job in nigeria.
 
Job Requirements
A minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience, with not less than three (3) years at senior management level is needed. This will ensure that the post holder is able to: create, implement and oversee the Company's communications programme, develop and maintain strong external and internal communications media, develop a national communications strategy, project the work and activities of the agency, build and maintain cordial relationships with journalists, research stories, discover new media angles, organize press conferences and write press releases, develop and execute, in conjunction with commercial management, new ways of maximizing and enhancing strategy through non-paid media, implement policies, report effectively, and manage staff and self.

In addition, this role requires that the successful post-holder must be motivated, diligent, process minded, proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications, have excellent public relations skills, be service driven and also be a positively aggressive professional. S/he must have an enthusiastic approach to change, show excellent interpersonal relationship skills, possess excellent presentation and writing skills, be proficient in editing news and feature articles for a variety of audiences, must be an 'opportunity hunter', risk lover and risk taker and possess a strategic mindset.
To enable the post-holder deliver on the main purpose and key responsibilities of the role, s/he should be diligent, thorough, and always in touch with the latest information. S/he should also be conversant with various social media and. blogging platforms such as WordPress and be able to utilize them effectively.
