Principal Accountabilities:

The emphasis of this role is on assisting the HR Manager: TM&D by providing an efficient and effective HR Generalist support and service to TM&D (with a specific focus on the TM&D Field Force), thereby ensuring true business partnering between HR and TM&D.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Deliver a quality Business Partnering service to all employees in the relevant TM&D region with regards to the HR Framework.
Ensure that Company policies, procedures and practices are, communicated, understood, implemented and applied consistently across the relevant region and guide and advise the region where necessary Ie: Injury on duty, Hijackings, Performance Management, Disciplinary Code and Guidelines.
Communicates with, consults with and assists the region with IR issues to ensure fair labour practices and positive morale.
Constantly liaise with Employment Relations to ensure that Resourcing, Industrial Relations and Wellness processes are implemented as per company policy and procedure.
Assist with the implementation and co-ordination of Change Management interventions within the relevant Region.
Assist with the employee understanding and execution of the Talent Management Framework, specifically Performance Management (Perform Process) and Career Management (Develop Process) within the relevant regions.
Assist the HR TM&D Manager with the management of the Career Development and succession planning processes for the TM&D Field Force by:
Scheduling of dates for the TM&D Regional Field Force TRM.
Preparing for and coordinating the TM&D Regional Field Force TRM Material.
Capture minutes resulting from the TM&D Regional Field Force TRM.
Capture Succession Plans during the TM&D Regional Field Force TRM.
Tracking of Performance Discussions and Performance Ratings within the Regions
Assist with the Employment Equity Programme within the relevant Region
Facilitate TM&D Regional EE Meetings.
Support the HR TM&D Manaegr with tracking and monitoring progress of TM&D EE Plan vs. Targets
Managing administration and record keeping in terms of the above
Assist with the development of Marketing Management Trainees and the Graduate Recruitment process by:
Supporting the formulation of the Marketing Trainee Programme Regional Functional Plans for 1st and 2nd year MT’s.
Facilitating line manager buy-in and support in the regions, ensuring that MT’s are allocated sufficient time/development within the various TM&D Roles in the Regions as well as assignment coaches.
Coordinate the MT’s in the regions quarterly performance reviews with line
Constantly liaise and update the HR TM&D Manager with reference to the MT’s progress and performance.
Assist with the Growth Academy process within the Region by advising line on the identification of the right talent pool for selection onto the programme.
Assist with the employee understanding of the company’s remuneration philosophy and model.
Manage the Death and Disability process within the Region by ensuring a speedy resolution of deaths and disability claims in conjunction with the external service provider and update the HR TM&D Manager monthly on progress.
Manage the Regional Complement List (including vacancies, OM Reports from HR Service Centre and Org Publisher through the RM Tool).
Coordinate Regional Recruitment with the support of the Key Account Manager from the National Agency
Ensure that the regional benches are always at the optimal level
Ensure regional benches and placements are aligned to the company recruitment strategy
Provide a monthly report to the HR TM&D Manager regarding the regional bench
Support the HR Service Centre with the relevant Employment documentation for appointments
Coordinate company HR training events regionally such as; Shaping Talent, Leaders to Change Workshops, Disciplinary Training
Monthly attendance at the Regional Team Meetings to support, advise and guide line on HR Practices and Processes

Key Outputs:

Knowledge/Qualifications
•Appropriate 3 year B-degree
•Sound knowledge and 2 -3 years experience of Human Resources Practices and procedures
•Basic business knowledge and an understanding of the impact of HR on other business functions would be advantageous
•Knowledge and experience of working with typical Marketing Functions would be advantageous
•Sound knowledge of appropriate labour legislation, eg. Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, etc.
